What Causes Dizziness, Vomiting, Chills And Fever?

I am a 46 year old female and woke up at 2am with spinning vision, dizziness, vomiting, chills and fever. My boss thinks it s vertigo. If I lay still it stops but when I get up it starts the vision and dizziness. I have a kid in high school and maybe it is a type of flu. Please advise. Thank You! Jennifer

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Jenifer.
You might be having flu or viral fever. Go to a doctor who may prescribe you Paracetamol tablet or DOLO-650. Generally viral fever subsides in a aday or two. If it is still persisting your doctor might suggest some blood investigations like complete blood count, malarial parasite, widal test, dengue test etc, and also urine analysis to see for urinary tract infection.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
