What Causes Dizziness, Headache And Stiffness Of The Neck?

I had a MRI yesterday with findings of a bilateral mastoid effusion. I had ear problems a year ago and left ear was drained of fluid. Even then I felt all fluid was not completely drained. Having headaches along with dizziness and now stiffness in neck. What is a recommended treatment?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Probably you are having brain abscess secondary to mastoid and internal ear abscess. You should undergo urgent MRI brain contrast and may require admission and injectable antibiotics. Subsequent treatment would be according to the imaging reports. In case it comes out to be brain abscess you may need surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
