What Causes Dizziness, Extreme Sweating And Intolerance To Heat?

I have recently had a couple of episodes of shakiness dizziness near fainting and extreme sweating and intolerance to heat. with both my parents having diabetes and having a 10 lb baby years ago, I thought I should monitor my blood glucose levels for a week then see my family doctor. I have had fasting blood sugars every morning between 127-137. It seems my first morning readings are steadily increasing daily and then post prandial I have been testing at 157 + since I am a nurse, I kinda think the diagnosis of diabetes is just around the corner would you agree

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As you have noticed yourself these finding of increase glucose levels fasting and post prandial can be diabetes. The episodes of fainting may be related to reactive hypoglycemia. You should consult an endocrinologist about starting a diabetes treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
