What Causes Dizziness, Body Pain And Sore Throat Along With Stomach Pain?
Hello Doctor, I am a 32 year old woman, have been off of birth control for 3 months and my periods are out of whack. We are hoping to get pregnant soon. But, I have been ill for the last 3 days, very tired, achy body, neck and head, sore throat (not severe), sore glands (on neck) and dizzy with stomach ache. Do you think this is viral or might it be related to my current issue with irregular periods? Thanks for your time.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dizziness, body pain and sore throat along with stomach pain which is commonly due to viral infection accompanied by flu like symptoms. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do gargles with warm saline water , drink plenty of fluid to keep yourself hydrated , take ibuprofen (if not allergic ) or acetaminophen for pain and inflammation and take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl. You should take plenty of fluids. Avoid outside and sharp spicy food. Usually virus complete its course , so drugs are given to relief symptoms. If symptoms persist or get worse then you should consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to rule out conditions like acid reflux and bacterial infection . Doctor may order blood test or throat swab test to confirm diagnosis . He/she may prescribe decongestants , antibiotics/antiviral depending upon your condition .
