my mom has been taking 2mg of Klonipin for about 18 years. she has a very sensitive system and a long list of allergies and side affects to medicine even tylenol very very sensitive. recently in the hospital for cellulitis of her legs and was given Zivox thru IV seems to be ok for a day but continued to feel dizzy/ shivers weakness in her armband doctors left her on it as being discharged to a rehabilitation center sent her with the pill form of Zivox. She was there not even a day when just like that a seizure took her to hospital and she had another. She has never had any ever in her life and this was the only thing differs she has been on. Now they have her on Kepra 500mg twice a day along with he 2mg of klonipan. It has bee over a week and she is just completely drugged, sleeping and not herself. they are spacing out the Kepra to every 12 hours now but I do not think it is good. Entirely to much for her.
There is a possibility of transient ischemic episode leading to pain in your arm and slurred speech. You may need a clinical examination to confirm neurological weakness, BP and other vital parameters.
Another probability is due to compression of this nerve root there is pain radiating to your arm.
You may require MRI brain and spine. For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started. Till the time, avoid lifting weights, you can consult a physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief. I will advise checking your vitamin B12 and vitamin D3 levels.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
