What Causes Dizziness And Vomiting After A Seizure?

Hi. My 25 year old son had a seizure this morning. He felt dizzy the day before. At the time when it happened he was playing XBox and doesnt remember what happened. He remembers playing his game and then waking up to police and EMT s at his home. He had vomited while seizing. He hasnt ever had a seizure. This was the one and only occurrence. He wasnt recently injured. He doesnt do drugs and isnt on any prescription med. Occasionally he will drink alcohol but wasnt and hadnt drank recently. What couldve caused this to happen?

A Seizure needs to be thoroughly investigated by a specialist. Though commonly it occurs once in some people, it can be a part of a greater disease. Another episode may warrant the need to start anti epileptic drugs. Avoid loud music, bright light and anything that might trigger a Seizure sometime. Precautions should be taken in case it recurs like making sure he is immediately taken to the hospital, he is on his back and held properly while the Seizure, vomiting is a serious problem of the Seizure occurs, make sure he doesnt swallow any.
