What Causes Dizziness And Twitching Sensation In The Arms?

My sister just had an episode where she felt hot, and dizzy. When I checked on her, she was staring wide-eyed and unresponsive.. chin to chest. After some time, her arms twitched, her head fell, and she woke up. Could this have been syncope or a seizure? She was also making noises through her mouth, as if she was trying to breathe.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes it looks like she either had a syncope or seizure. You did not inform if she has a history of seizure or cardiac problems. However, she needs to visit ER, get examined & evaluated. Check her BP & help her get hydrated, give her ORS, juice or soup. She needs to go through investigations to rule out any coronary artery disease or seizure. Get her treated without much delay. She should avoid all addictions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
