What Causes Dizziness And Tinnitus After Surgical Removal Of Ear Wax?
I had an ENT surgically remove ear wax from my ear drums a few weeks ago, because the wax was on my eardrums. Now, I am experiencing dizziness and possibly vertigo 24/7. Also, ringing of my ears occurs. Is this dizziness permanent? I am so very worried.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dizziness and tinnitus after surgical removal of ear wax . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma or cervical spondylosis . Sometimes migraine can also cause such symptoms. Even TMJ problem can also cause such symptoms . In you case the symptoms are probably due to infection that may have occurred after wax removing procedure. Avoid bending forward and drink green tea with ginger thrice a day . Apply dry warm compresses on ear. You should take oral broad spectrum Antibiotics to treat the infection. Put anti-inflammatory ear drops. You should maintain complete hygiene of ear canal. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined , who may order CT scan , rotatory chair test along with taking history. Start treatment after proper prescription. Doctor may also recommend hearing aid , meniett device , steroid injection or vestibular therapy . Doctor may also prescribe supplement like ginkgo biloba . Doctor may also refer you to dentist or oral surgeon for TMJ problem.
