Hi,
Noted your short and specific history of hitting on the ear that caused pain, ringing,
vertigo and there is pain on burping.
Your history is classical of the following:
The trauma has caused problem with the
eardrum that is inflammation hence whenever you are burping there is positive pressure built up causing pain in ear..
Secondly the trauma has affected the cochlear part of
inner ear causing the
tinnitus and this may take a long as there is no specific treatment of it.
Vertigo must have been temporary due to trauma to the vestibular apparatus.
To get the exact diagnosis it is better to get the opinion of an ENT Surgeon as detailed examination and investigations can help to get a proper diagnosis and have proper management.
Till everything is settled follow the advise of your ENT Surgeon meticulously. Do not drive.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
