What Causes Dizziness And Slurred Speech?
My son just returned from a dinner meeting. He says he feels off like he had too much to drink only has was drinking soda. Also said he feels light headed and had some difficulty with his speech at dinner, and felt uncoordinated walking to his car. Another person at the meeting was feeling the same way. Could this be food poisoning?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dizziness and slurred speech. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like middle ear infection , labyrinthitis , anxiety disorder , iron deficiency , diabetes, type 2 , sinusitis and sometimes cardiac problem can also give such signs. Avoid bending forward and stay calm. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist to rule out ear problem and sinusitis. Doctor will examine ear with otoscope and order CT scan for sinusitis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like genatmicin or amoxicillin , decongestant or expectorant along with anti inflammatory. Apply warm compresses to external neck. Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist for cardiac problem . For now drink green tea with ginger thrice a day.
