What Causes Dizziness And Nausea?

Hi, my mom has been experiencing dizziness nausea (including vomiting) for the past few days. the dix hall pipe test on her was positive on her left hand side. she does not demonstrate any signs and symptoms of diplopia, dysarthria, dysphasia, numbness, ataxia or drop attack. We tried epley s maneuver and it seemed to help initially but no more progress or improvement. Her doctor prescribed Betahistamine and she s been taking the medication. She told me today that she noticed her left nose has blood thin blot clots in it. I was wondering if this could be anything other than BPPV? I m starting to get more and more concerned, since she has highs and lows (today was a bad day, yesterday she has no symptoms), and also the blot clotting is worrying me a little. She also started sweating excessively during the duration of her dizziness attacks.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello!

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that the blood clots in her nose are not related to the BPPV, but could be indicative of high blood pressure. For this reason, I recommend you to closely monitor her blood pressure values in the next days, frequently during the day, in sitting position, after 10 minutes of total relax. A blood pressure Holter monitoring would help detect possible blood pressure spikes, which could be the cause of nose bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
