What Causes Dizziness And Mild Headache Long After Riding The Roller Coaster?

I rode a few roller coasters earlier today (8+ hours ago) and now I m feeling dizzy again and have a mild headache. Is it normal to still feel this way this long after going on the rides? I ve been drinking plenty of water and have had a normal dinner since then.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

What happens is our body remains at an optimal pressure and gravity, torque and motion, altitude and latitude all the time and our body balancing mechanisms including the Cerebellum, Inner ear Vetibular Apparatus, Eustachian tubes all of them try to keep the body at a balance when at rest.

When we ride a roller coster, it creates sudden and fast changes to all of the above systems of balances and causes the irritation of brains centre for nausea and vomiting, dizziness and loss of balance. Whenever there is a disturbance in the balancing systems of body, our body tries to kick back in.

Sometimes it takes a little time to get the rhythm back. You are experiencing the same imbalances.

It is all reversible and nothi nothing needed to do but rest. Proper rest will take you back to normal balance and out of this dizzy phase.

If you feel it is making trouble after getting up in the morning tomorrow too, you may need to take Pheniramine maleate at night before going to bed. It may cause a little drowsy so don't do fine motor skills after taking this oral medicine.

Hope I answered all of your health concerns . If you have further questions in future, feel free to contact me anytime & I will get back to you in no time. Please give a positive feedback.

Have a wonderful time ahead.

Best Regards!
