What Causes Dizziness And Loss Of Balance While Taking Hydromorphone Post Back Surgery?

I am tired ALL the time. Now I am getting dizzy and loose my balance. I am 66. I had low back surgery 2 years ago for bulging discs and deteriorating. I had steroid shots 2 weeks ago becauae I was still in pain..nerve pain. Was having dizziness and unbalance issues before steroids. Have been taking hydromorphone since surgery. Also taking gabertine, and lidocaine patches. My history is depression, asthma, fibromyalgia, mvp, recently diagnosed with arthritis in left hip which is very painful.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dizziness and loss of balance while taking Hydromorphone post back surgery . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to side effects of hydromorphone . I would suggest you to consult your doctor and discuss the condition with him . Doctor may alter the does or refer you to ENT specialist if the problem will be due to ear condition like ear infection and meniere's disease . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , antiemetic drug and vestibular therapy .
