What Causes Dizziness And Heart Palpitations?

Have had two strange episodes in as many days. Lightheadedness, a strange feeling that was similar to a feeling I had prior to an svt (which I had corrected with and ablation). I ve also gained 25 lbs this year, noticed I can t eat without having to sleep directly after; I ve had several yeast and/or bladder infections in the past several months; and occasional heart palpitations. I m also 57 and menopausal so I m not sure this isn t hormonal. Today s odd feeling (lightheaded and dizzy) while at the grocery store worried me enough to seek some answers, even if initially it s online.

Hi,

It indicates different pathological events you must be having, so it is most likely to have strange feelings. Different kinds of illness can cause the stressful condition and these may be the cause of dizziness or lightheadness.

But it has to be ruled out for cerebral pathology and for that CT brain is advisable. Menopausal syndrome could be the cause too, first of all try to come out of the stress. Just take it easy and be positive and practical.
