What Causes Dizziness And Headache While Taking Glucosamine,Probiotic And Cymbalta?

Hi, I' a 44 yr old woman. I exercise 4 times a week and take the following supplements; omega plex, burn 60, catalyst, 2 green coffee bean with svetol 30 minutes before lunch and dinner and 2 omega plex after dinner. I take liquid vits, liquid Ca and glucosamine and a raw vegan probiotic once daily. I don't take in more than 1200 calories on a normal day. I weigh 110 lbs. I also take Ativan, trileptal, cymbalta and for sleep trizalom. I have been taking the last 4 mentioned for 10 plus years. But, over the past 10 days I have been getting dizzy spells upon standing up and laying down. They are getting more frequent and stronger. It is followed by bad headaches. What in your opinion is going on with my body. I eat healthy. Fruits, veggies, Salmon and occasional beef. Please help.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. You are a 44 years old female and have good health in terms of weight and you also take supplements. You are on Ativan (Lorazepam), Trileptal (Oxcarbazapine), Cymbalta (Duloxetie) and Triazolam since last 10 years but have developed the dizziness since last 10 days only. In my opinion the dizziness you are having is not related to these medicines. Other causes should be ruled out before labelling medicines as cause of these symptoms.

Change in BP could be the reason for your symptoms. Get your Blood pressure checked in lying down position and in standing position. Any significant difference between postures can show postural hypotension as cause of your symptoms. Anxiety is other possible reason for these symptoms. Persistent anxiety even after years of treatment can be the cause of these symptoms. Please consult your psychiatrist and take proper opinion regarding your symptoms.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
