What Causes Dizziness And Fatigue While On Claritin-D?

I was diagnosed with chronic rhinitis and having been taking Claritan D daily for several months. I m starting to have dizzy spells, generally not feeling well, fatigued, head achy. Should I stop taking the medication, and what should I take to treat the rhinitis?

Hi,

Yes, Claritin D does have the side effect of dizziness/tiredness & fatigue. You seem to have the same. To avoid this the drug should be either reduced in dosage/changing the medicine itself... as your treating doctor thinks to be good for you.

It is not proper to advise about new drug regime without examining you... still I can suggest tab Allegra... for preventing allergic rhinitis.

Actually, it's best to determine allergens by allergy scanning tests... & start getting desensitisation test to get rid of the basic cause itself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
