What Causes Dizziness And Crossed Eye?

The last few days I have felt slightly dizzy and one eye seems to be trying to go cross-eyed. I notice the dizziness after bending over and then the one eye very strangely feels like its about to cross-eyed but doesn t. I normally can bend over just fine without feeling dizzy, and have just noticed this the last few days. I was sick with fever last week with a touch of the flu I thought, but even sitting here now typing this I m feeling a little light headed. I am a 60 year old female. What can this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HELLO Dear,
I am of the opinion that symptoms and case you are describing is BPPV or in simple term it's vertigo. And this is causing your crossed eye i.e. Nystagmus. All this is because of middle ear infection that occurred due to your flu and passed from throat to ear through eustachian tube.
I will suggest you to consult a local ear and throat doctor for some physical tests. Till then you can take some antihistamines and anti emetic.
Thank you
Dr. Ashish
