What Causes Dizziness And Breathing Difficulty While On Cardiac Stents?

My husband has had stents put in heart 2 years ago along with rotator cuff surgery right after, he has spells of lightheadiness and heavy chest and shortness of breath. He has had medications switched thinking it was related, upper endoscopy, colonoscopy and everything is always normal.. He can go days and feel fine and then this happens to him out of no where.. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern
With a past history of cardiac problem and with a stent in heart, his symptoms may be of cardiovascular origin.I will suggest you take him to his cardiologist for evaluation. Tests that may help include: ECG and a chest x ray. A chest x ray may also help to eliminate lungs infections that may also cause such symptoms. In the meantime, i will recommend rest and have his BP checked.
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns
Best regards
