What Causes Dizziness Along With Episodes Of Blackouts In A Hypertensive Patient?
The last few months I have been having dizziness and sometimes short blackouts. They started when I would stand but have progressed to sitting, laying down, etc. I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for yrs. Also, my mother s mother had diabetes but my mother or her sister never did. I sometimes have a sensation of water running down my right ankle - not entire leg, just ankle area.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dizziness along with episodes of blackouts . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like fainting , middle ear infection , labyrinthitis , medication reaction or side-effect , diabetes, type 2 , heart rhythm disorder or transient ischemic attack . In your case the symptoms are either pointing towards cardiac problem or side effects of medicine . I would suggest you to consult for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , troponin t test alng with complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe substitute for your blood pressure medicine or alter the dose . Doctor may also prescribe aspirin , frusamide or refer you to ENT specialist for ear problem . For now do not bend forward and drink green teat twice a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
