What Causes Dizziness Along With Blurred Vision?

I am 74 yoa female. I was mowing the lawn this morning. I had been mowing for about 1 hour when a neighbor stopped to talk. I stood in the heat (about 80 ) for about 10 min. While standing in got very dizzy and my vision was blurry and spotty as in a verigated carpet. What are possible causes? I had about 12 ounces of tea and 12 ounces of diet coke before going out.

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

The three important possibilities include dehydration, hypoglycemia and transient ischemic attack (mini-stroke).
All make sure you drink plenty of water and sports drinks while working outside. Hypoglycemia is a possibility especially if you are on anti-diabetic medication. I would also recommend getting CT brain and carotid doppler study done as TIA is a concern.

Hope this answers your question
Please let me know if you need further clarifications
