Hello,

Your husband has history of BPVV and now he is having either complications of BPVV or relapse due to which he is again developing similar symptoms he had.

Typical and recurrent BPPV develops commonly in the posterior semicircular canals. When BPPV recurrence is suspected, every canal on both sides must be investigated and clinically examined by ENT so that treatment can be started at the earliest.

Don't let him drive and help him stay away from stress, anxiety and addictions if any. Give him home made fresh food, fruits, veggies and nuts. Don't worry, let the treatment start he will be fine. Help him stay active, give him small tasks which will keep him engaged and cheerful. Give him quality time. Give attention to his likes and dislikes.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
