Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a regular dinner last night and laid on my couch about 7pm. I was watching TV and when I got ready to get up, I felt a bit of dizziness. It was enough that it made me feel a little imbalanced so I stayed there sort of lying down on the couch and hoping that the slight dizziness would go away. It did go away enough to allow me to get up and go upstairs and then get into bed. I felt a bit uneasy/very slightly dizzy as I was lying there before I fell asleep. I woke up ok however I still feel a very slight bit light-headed? Any idea what it might be? It s not enough to keep me from coming to work however I still feel a very slight bit uneasy?
Dizziness can be due to different possible causes. Some of the more common causes are--(1)conditions related to the inner ear such as meniere's disease, vestibular neuronitis, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (2)dehydration (3)infection (4)low blood pressure (5)low blood sugar
If it continues, then you should see your doctor for assessment.
I hope this helps
