General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the abdomen distension with loss of appetite in a patient with multiple myeloma kidney may be matter of concern to get evaluated. Following are the sound possibilities in his case:
- Worsening myeloma
- Derangement of kidney function with raised creatinine
- Liver weakness and raised SGPT and SGOT
- Digestive enzyme disturbances

It is best needed for him to get checked for:
- Ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis
- Complete hemogram with hemoglobin and WBC count
- Serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen with BUN / creatinine ratio

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
