What Causes Disorientation And Migraine Headaches Upon Having Sound Sleep?

I have trouble waking up from sleep. If I sleep for more than 8 hours at a time, I have trouble understanding what s going on around me and if my alarm clock sounds, I don t perceive it as wake up , and not even as something alarming. It just exists, and I don t know what to do. Last night I went to sleep at 11:30pm. I was unable to wake up until 3:00pm the next day when my friend woke me up. As a kid I used to have trouble sleeping, and I would often stay up late reading to occupy the time. I wouldn t be able to sleep for more than 6 hours at a time. Eventually I was able to get normal amounts of sleep with no issues -- then this started happening. It usually only happens on the weekend because I don t have a reason to wake up super early, and no one else is waking me up. During the week, I have an alarm and someone to ask me if I m ready to leave, and I go to bed before 10-10:30. When I do finally wake up, I have a piercing migraine in my temples.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have disorientation and migraine headaches upon having sound sleep . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like tumor , migraine its self , ear problem like meniere's disease and sinusitis .
