What Causes Discomfort Under The Left Shoulder Blade?

Earlier today I simply turned in my desk chair and felt a twinge under my left shoulder blade. Little by little it got worse. and now when i take a deeper breather, it really hurts. Just on the left back. I tried to lay down for 3 hours but it didn t get any better. I didn t exercise today, or yesterday, or the day before. But I did on monday and tuesday of this week. A weights class and a yoga class. I m fit and within normal weight range. I don t have previous back problems, have never felt this before. i m 55.

Thank you for asking HCM

The pain in your left shoulder it may caused by frozen shoulder that appear in the form stiffness and painful. The treatment that I consider is to consume pain reliever, use paracetamol or ibuprofen to reduce the pain. Once it is less painful please do a gentle shoulder exercise. Try to use heat packs on your shoulder and please avoid weight exercises because it can make the pain worse. I hope you will get better soon
