What Causes Discomfort And Pain In Throat?

I was sick with a cold two weeks ago. I had the regular sore throat, stuffy nose and headache. I am a singer so I lost my voice for a day while I was sick so I gave myself a few days to heal. It seemed fine and I got back to my job, and now I have this discomfort in my throat and everytime I sneeze, I feel this really sharp pain in my throat (left side to by specific). I rarely cough although it is still present. Anyways, just wondering what may be causing this discomfort and pain in my throat? It bothers me so much and it s extremely difficult to sing with it. Feels like I ll loose my voice if I sing for more than 2 hours. Please let me know, thank you.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello, it seems to be respiratory tract infection. So start with an antibiotic, anti inflammatory agents and anti histamines. Even steam inhalation can help you a lot.
Mouth gargling and steam inhalation thrice a day will make you feel better. Voice rest is also sugessted. I hope i have answered your query.
