What Causes Discomfort And Itching In The Throat?

Hello. I have been experiencing some throat issues and wanted to figure out what was wrong. My throat feels like there occasionally has something stuck in it. Also after looking at the back of my throat there is a hard bone like structure on the back of my throat. My throat is itchy sometimes and things are uncomfortable in my throat. Thanks for your help

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to history posterior pharynx examination needs to be done by otorhinolaryngologist to do further work up. Chronic granular pharyngitis should be ruled out by examination. If needed throat swab can be taken for culture. Until you consult otorhinolaryngologist for examination, vitamin C can be prescribed.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
