What Causes Discomfort And Cramp Radiating From Shoulder To Arm?

I have discomfort on the top of my shoulder down my arm--is this a muscle or tendon that a massage would help? It has been going on for 4 weeks after a yoga session. Feels better when I use it, if I am not using it feels like a cramp that radiates down my arm.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the shoulder.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.
I also suggest cold compresses for local application.
I recommend to maintain the shoulder immobilized to prevent further damage.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
