What Causes Discolored Spots On Legs And Feet In Elderly Woman?

I have developed dark brown and light discolored spots on legs, feet, and has began on arms and trunk. There is no pain, itching, scaling or anything. They are not bothersome, and some of the dark spots look a little like warts, but are not. I am a 63 yearold black female with a history of polio and osteoarthritis of both knees. My doctor said that there is no reason to be concerned it s just a part of aging and sun exposure. I think that it is something else.

Hi.
As per your case history the patient is idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis.
My treatment advice is -
1. It is a physiological condition.
2. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30.
3. Other treatment options are topical tacrolimus, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
