What Causes Discoloration And Dryness Of Lower Lip?
Hello I m african and my lips used to be brown but my underlip has become really dry and it has changed color into a more pink color, while at the bottom of my underlip there is a thin brown line that seperates the to colors. What can be the cause of this? Hope somebody can help me.

Understanding your concern.
As you asked in your query about dry lips and lip discoloration ,well this is a condition called chapped lips .Chapped lips can occur due to many reasons like environment factors like dry weather ,excessive picking of lips ,appylying saliva with tongue frequently which takes away the natural moisture,sun burn and nutritional deficiency. The pink color is due to inflammation of lip and dark like is due to discoloration.
I would suggest you to not to pick your lips ,do not wet it with saliva ,apply petroleum jelly for moisture ,apply sunscreen with SPF 50 and containing zinc oxide,wash your face twice a day,drink plenty of water and take fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.Aoe vera gel is also very effective in discoloration .
If condition persists or doesn't improve in 10 days then consult dermatologist.
