What Causes Discharge Of Pus And Blood From A Lump Under The Armpit?

Hi, tonight I squeezed a big bump under my armpit and I had a lot of gray pus and blood oozing/shooting out of it. Can you tell me what this might be? Is it a boil? It has been extremely painful over the last week. After the discharge, I am now finally feeling the relief.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A painful lump under the armpit with release of pus is suggestive of a boil or furunculosis.
Boil is an infectious lesion of skin and furunculosis is an infectious lesion of hair follicles.
Both the lesions are associated with pain and pus accumulation can occur.
Since, the pus has spontaneously leaked out, there is nothing to worry, however, the ruptured site needs to be examined to manage it with dressing and antibiotic if required.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment of the ruptured site.

Thanks and take care
