What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing And Breathing Difficulty?
Last night I noticed a flap like thing in the back of my throat when I opened my mouth and looked with a flashlight. I researched what it was and it s apparently an epiglottis. I first looked in my mouth because I was feeling like something was stuck. I also feel the need to swallow saliva a lot. I m not really having trouble breathing or swallowing. My throat isn t sore. It just feel very uncomfortable. It feels like their is mucus in my throat. I do have bad allergies and get drainage sometimes. My breathing is okay but sometimes I notice I m breathing kinda shallow. I ve read just about everything on what it could be on google and I m kinda scared. Should I be worried? BTW: I m 14 and a female. And I have never seen my epiglottis when I opened my mouth before and have never felt this feeling in my throat until now.
