What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Along With Muscle Spasms?

I m a 26 yr old female. About a month ago I began having swallowing difficulty. Feels like muscle spasms, worse as day goes on. Normal swallow study. I have had other odd symptoms including severe fatigue, inability to focus, stuttering on few occasions during day and just feeling sluggish. My Dr doesn t seem too concerned. My GI dr said it could be signs of ms. But neither dr wants to Perdue testing. I m worried it is ms based on research I did. Does this sound like a possibility? If so how can i get tested if Dr doesn t agree?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

This may indicated GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) or hiatal hernia so you should do gastroscopy to rule out it and so that treatment can be started.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein
