My husband is going through some depression due to the loss of his daughter age 36 I January 2015. He is on Escitalopram 10mg for the depression. he is also on 2 blood pressure meds lisinopril 20mg and amlodipine 10mg. My concern is he is having trouble focusing at his job and he has become very frustrated; Should he go back to his PCP for a checkup?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The condition of difficulty in focusing with frustration indicates underlying psychiatric disturbances. The lisinopril intake has nothing to do with this episode. He requires dose increment of Escitalopram with or without addition of another anti depressant for better recovery of focus difficulty. His primary care would be best person to handle the issue.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
