What Causes Difficulty In Climbing Stairs With Blocked Artery?

I stopped smoking in March this year due to blocked artery in left leg.

I am now taking statins to reduce cholestral

6 months ago i could run after my granddaughter now i am struggling to climb stairs and feel i have no energy in my legs

I am 58

Any ideas

Hi,
It seems you have developed significant blockade in your arteries, which is hampering your work. Need not to worry, because today we have technology to stent those vessels, and make you run behind your grand daughter again.
I would advice you to consult an Interventional Cardiologist for treatment option. He would also add one more medication called Cilostazole, to help you before they stent you.
