What Causes Difference In Both Sides Of The Chest?

There is an imbalance in mass between my upper and inner pectorals major area. I am right handed through surprisingly the right side of my chest is seemingly weaker and shaped slightly different. I ve noticed that that attachment near the armpit area has variance as well. The right side has more fold of skin and does not seem to contract nearly as much as the right. The difference is most noticeable when I actually feel my chest. Have I torn my pectorals minor perhaps and not made a significant injury a result.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should consult doctor and get done exact measurement of your chest. This will give you more idea about asymmetry present or not.
And if asymmetry is present than get done chest x ray to rule out these causes for asymmetrical chest wall.
1. Fibrothorax. This causes shrinking of affected side.
2. Muscular atrophy. (Unilateral)
3. Unilateral absence of ribs
4. Rarely pleural effusion on opposite side.
So better to consult doctor and discuss all these.
