What Causes Diarrhea Whiles Suffering From Ischemic Colitis?

My father has ischemic bowels and there is no operation that can help. He is 90 years old. He does not eat a thing. Only drinks water. He has now started with loose bowels. My question is, are his bowels going to start coming out? Since there is no food in his body now for a month.

Hello
Ischemic colitis can itself cause diarrhea but your father does not eat any solid food and that can cause diarrhea.
