Hello,

As you have been prescribed medicine for depression and anxiety I would say if you just have started taking these then have patience and go for regular follow ups to your psychiatrist. it takes time as well as its your doctor who decides if there is need of change in the dose of the medicine for better effect, so have a conversation with your doctor regarding this.

Talking to someone is always a great option. There are different kinds of therapies doctors use apart from medicines for treatment of depression and anxiety. They refer you to a psychotherapist and cpunselling sessions with your psychotherapist are one of the options. You can also talk to your friends and family who are a great support during this phase of depression. So I would suggest you should definitely try for it.

Apart from this, doing meditation and exercise regularly adds up benefits to elevate the mood and help to reduce the anxiety.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
