What Causes Depression And Mood Swings While On Lexapro And Dilaudid?

Hello, I have RLS and I ve recently been taking a small dose of Dilaudid for it. I also have begun taking Lexapro this week. I m waking up in a very depressed mood and don t know which one of these pills could be the reason. I feel like I want to stay in bed all day, but gradually by about 2 pm I start coming out of this funk. Please advise. Thank you, Janice

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to depression or Lexapro adverse effects.

Anyway, I would recommend trying to be patient, because Lexapro effects may need a couple of weeks to be visible.

In the meantime, I would recommend trying to stay with your friends and family and listen to music.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
