What Causes Dent On Head Due To Hitting?

My seven month old son hit his head on the sharp corner edge of a wooden dining table chair. He I'd not lose conciousness ad he did cryalmost immediatebly after pulling a sad face. Initially there was what felt likw a small bump but now he seems to hav a small dent on the side where he banged it ?

Seven moths old may develop a dent because of soft skull bones.
If the baby does not develop vomiting, seizures,altered sensation within 48 hours, nothing to worry.
The dent will disappear as the child grows.
