Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Pregnancy is the commonest cause of stopping of menses , however there are other causes as well. your case , we don't know about your sexual history , assuming if you have sexual inter course in this month , there is a possibility that this may be pregnancy ,even if the test is negative as its not hundred percent sensitive, this is one possibility, another possibility is that the test is correct , you may have no pregnancy as getting late for few days during menstrual cycle is not uncommon ,and this can occur with many things like stress ,or dieting etc. So this may be either way, more depending on your sexual history, what I would personally advise is that you should wait a few days and repeat the test again in few days, an ultrasound would be another option if you don't get menses in few more days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
