What Causes Delayed Periods Post Removal Of Paragard IUD?

I had my paragard iud removed on the last day of my menstrual cycle. My period is now 5 days late. My husband has had a vasectomy, so there is no chance of pregnancy. Is this a common side effect? How soon can I expect my cycle to start? I have always had regular periods and am never late. Why would a non hormonal bc method disrupt my cycle?
