What Causes Delayed Periods And Pain During Urination?

My period is late by a couple of days and I have noticed it sometimes stings when I have a wee. I don t know if my period is late because I had one about 2 weeks ago, due to stopping the pill. I am also suffering from a cold at the moment so I don t know if it s due to that as well. I don t think I m pregnant either.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you have a history of unprotected intercourse then pregnancy should be ruled out by urine HCG card test.

Sometime Hormonal pill can delay period for one or two weeks.

You can check your serum TSH to rule out hypothyroidism.

Hormonal imbalance also should be ruled out by serum prolactin, DHEA, progesterone estimation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
