Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. You should be worried but not too much. The most important causes: 1.It is pregnancy, that's why i recommend you to perform pregnancy test to be sure. 2.Stress( hypothalamic amenorrhea). 3.Weight Loss or Excessive Exercise. 4.Thyroid disorder(Hyperthyroidism, Hypothyroidism). 5.Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, inflammation in the ovarium. 6.Premature Menopause(decreasing level of estradiol or progesterone). Causes of increased appetite: - pregnancy; -Premenstrual Syndrome(cravings for certain foods, increased hunger and thirst),actually 1300 mg of calcium per day helps with PMS symptoms; -Your body uses more calories during the time right before periods and in some cases during your period. This increase in calories makes your body burn more calories during this time. Hope this helps.
