What Causes Delayed Period Along With Fatigue And Dizziness?
My period was 5 Days late , and now that I have gotten it , I m always exhausted and weak.. Today , I was sitting on the couch and out of nowhere I got super lightheaded and dizzy. I went to the restroom and the toilet bowl was full of blood and blood clots. I ve had to change pads every two hours. What could it be ?
If you are not likely pregnant because of the use of contraceptives or you are not sexually active then the abnormal bleeding may be due to:
(1) structural causes such as fibroids or endometriosis
(2) infection
(3) hormonal causes- abnormal levels of hormones can sometimes occur
(4) benign growths such as polyps in the uterus or cervix
If there is a chance of conception there is an unfortunate possibility of a miscarriage. It would be best, since you are feeling dizzy which may indicate excess blood loss, to see your doctor for an assessment.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
