What Causes Delayed Period After Taking Primolut N?

Hello. I took primulut n in February to postpone my period. It worked and period returned about 3-4 days after I stopped taking tabs. However, for the month of March I did not have a period. Is this because I took primulut? Is it interfering with my cycle??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The Primolut-N suppressed ovulation in last month. This might have stimulated ovulation in current month and having sex during ovulation could have caused conception and delay in period. Please go for home pregnancy test after 8 days delay in periods. A positive test would confirm pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
