What Causes Delayed Menstruation Post Intake Of Primolut-N?

I have taken Primolut for almost 3 days and on the 4th day, I had contraceptive. And 3 days back from today, I had sex and haven t taken any contraceptive thought I will be getting my periods in a day or two. This is the 8th day since I stopped taking Primolut and haven t had my periods. I am worried if I may be pregnant. I don t want to get pregnant so soon. May I know how to get my periods?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You will first need to have a urinary pregnancy test and rule out pregnancy as the cause of your delayed periods.
If you are not pregnant, you do not need to take any pills to have your periods back. Generall, most of the patients will get the periods in a couple of weeks.
If your periods do not come, you will need to talk to your doctor.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
