What Causes Delayed Menstruation And Negative Pregnancy Test?
My husband have been trying to conceive for almost a year I m 18 and he is 25 we have had no luck at all. Recently my periods slowly started to disappear and now I havent have my period in month but I get no positive test I m very confused. I ve never taken birth control but I do take medication for acid reflux.
There are different possible causes for delayed conception though it is usually considered delayed after a year of trying so you still have some time.
If after a year, you still have not conceived them you and your husband may need to be assessed.
Your husband would need a semen analysis and you would need assessment of the uterus, ovaries and tubes. Your assessment would be to make sure that there is no structural reason for difficult conception (abnormal structure of the uterus, blockage, endometriosis, scarring)
It would also involve hormonal blood tests to take a look at the ovaries.
In some persons no cause is found and it just takes a little time, this may be the case for you.
I hope this helps
