Hello i have one doubt to take my baby. He is not doing much movement. He is of 6 months 2 weeks and he is neither taking side and not holding his neck. While delivery he was having brain sparing in ultra sound. I am very concerned to take him. I also wants to know his future and whether there is any test to check his brain development and his future? Plese help me
Hi..Can understand your concern.As per your query about head control and other movements in baby may get delayed if the baby had low birth weight or is more lean and thin or he is having a long neck ..Normally the head gets engaged upto 5-6 months but still its not too late you can wait few more weeks for other body movements also.Observe his other activities also like auditory,visual and speech functions ..Feed him mother milk as much as possible with other home made porridges.I advice you to consult a paediatrician for proper evaluation of the kids body movements and overall physical and mental development through scanning Any vitamin deficiency should also be ruled out.You shouldn't worry much as some babies have faster growth and development while the other gets it later.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
