Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to premenstrual syndrome. If you observe the following things I suggest you to visit your doctor as soon as possible:
- Cramps continue for more than 3 days
- Non resolving abdominal pain
- Persistent nausea and vomiting
- Fever
- Vaginal discharge

You can use over the counter NSAIDs like ibuprofen for the pain relief. Certain home remedies can also be done for the symptomatic relief like ginger, peppermint and cinnamon.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sameen Bin Naeem, General & Family Physician
